Fine Arts

Known in Dutch as: Autonome Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving

Astonishment provides for an entirely pure perception. If you understand the art of astonishment, you’re in a position to see the world with other eyes and make new discoveries. That is the basis of the creativity of art. During the Fine Arts programme, you’re stimulated to astonish yourself and challenged to discover all your talents. Naturally, you also learn to work with a large number of materials and techniques, among them the new media. So you get broad insight into the illustrative possibilities of 2D-, 3D- and 4D-design.

Communication and Multimedia Design

Known in Dutch as: Communication and Multimedia Design

At the Communication and Multimedia Design programme, we dive into the world of virtual reality, apps, and websites. You might design an app that helps students find housing, or bring history to life with a museum game. We’ll develop your creative and technical skills and create innovative solutions that help organisations and their audiences.

Fine Art and Design in Education

Known in Dutch as: Docent Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving

In this programme, you learn how to use your creativity to inspire others. You develop as both a teacher and a maker and use art to move people, make them think, and help them discover new ideas. Art is combined with teaching and learning. You learn how to guide others, develop your own style, and work in different places such as schools, museums, communities, and cultural projects.

In the first year, you learn to work with materials, techniques, and different ways of working, and you reflect on your process. Later, you focus on research, design your own learning environments, and work on projects where art, education, and society come together. You choose your own direction, do an internship, and explore your role as a teacher and artist.

Design | Visual Communication

Known in Dutch as: Vormgeving | Visuele Communicatie

Everything revolves around telling a story - but how do you do that? Why do you tell a story, how do you convey it, through which medium, and who do you want to reach? As a designer, you translate ideas into powerful visual messages that immediately make an impact. Often, that’s far more effective than words - because one image says more than a thousand words.

Our motto: learning by doing.
You’ll dive straight into practice, working on assignments directly from the professional field. You’ll work individually or in teams on real-world challenges from real clients. In this way, you’ll not only develop your skills, but also build a portfolio - and gain experience that will stay with you for life.

Design

Known in Dutch as: Vormgeving | Design

Are you curious, creative, and enjoy working with your hands? In this programme, you learn to create designs in your own style by working with a wide range of materials and techniques, such as textiles, wood, metal, and plastics. You discover what suits you best and what kind of designer you want to be. Learning by making is central: thinking with your hands.

You choose your own direction and develop your personal design style, becoming a versatile and independent designer with a voice in today’s and tomorrow’s world.
