These are challenges Zuyd University of Applied Sciences is eager to take on, specially because they matter to our region. 

Valuable Neighbourhoods

How can we strengthen the vitality and liveability of neighbourhoods in a region that faces population decline and ageing? This theme brings together issues such as integration, vacant housing, the labour market, liveability, and the energy transition, particularly in the development of the Parkstad region.

Can we improve the health of Limburg’s residents? And what role can innovative technology play? This theme focuses on enhancing vitality and participation among the people of Limburg.

As we move towards a more sustainable and future-proof region, our focus lies on Chemelot. Here, we explore and develop innovative, practical solutions for climate-neutral production. Creating less waste while generating social impact and meaning for the community.
