International Introduction
Starting your studies in a new country can be both exciting and challenging. At Zuyd University, we want to make sure you feel at home from day one! Every year, the International Office organises a special Introduction Week for international students in August and February. This welcoming event is designed to help you get settled, connect with fellow students, and discover everything you need to thrive at Zuyd.
During the introduction week, you’ll enjoy a variety of social activities, informative sessions, and fun excursions around Maastricht. It’s a fantastic opportunity to build new friendships, learn about Dutch culture, and explore the city before your studies begin. Best of all: participation is completely free!
What to expect?
- Meet and mingle with other international students
- Attend welcome sessions about studying at Zuyd and living in the Netherlands
- Join cultural and social activities to explore Maastricht and Dutch traditions
- Receive helpful tips and advice for your student life ahead
When does it take place?
- Semester 1 (August start): Details are shared via newsletter at the end of June or early July
- Semester 2 (February start): Information is sent out at the end of January or early February
