RE-USE

Park Fietsen Zonnebril Zuyd Hogeschool Sittard

RE-USE aims to accelerate material reuse in the built environment across the Meuse-Rhine region. The project tackles 4 key barriers: data management, legal challenges, practical implementation and cross-border collaboration.

Unlike traditional approaches, the project focuses on building portfolios rather than waste streams. Large datasets will be collected to identify available materials, and legal hurdles will be addressed. SMEs and public developers will be supported in integrating reuse into their operations. The project fosters cooperation across the region to scale up circular construction practices. Four pilot projects in different settings will generate valuable insights. Ultimately, RE-USE contributes to the green transition by reducing raw material use and enabling a circular economy.

RE-USE is supported by the European Union and the Interreg Meuse-Rhine programme.
